The unlucky Oil well Fahud 1, Oman

Landscape where the first oil well drilled in Oman in 1956.
Badluck or a nearmiss! The well missed the oil reservoir resulting a dry well which was later abandoned.
Fahud is around 350Km from Muscat.

that's certainly some desolate looking and rugged terrain... excellent wide view and the light and colours are great as well!

Beautiful! I'd love to visit. Very similar to parts of the Western US. Interesting history of the well, too.
